LINDSAY HAYES
Secretary General
Lindsay is in her third year at McGill University studying Honours International Development with a minor in Education. This will be her seventh year with JCYMUN. She spent time as a delegate, committee chair and secretariat member learning about diplomacy and leadership. Lindsay loves baking, skiing and painting in her free time. She is very excited to be continuing in the role of Secretary General and is looking forward to seeing you all at the 25th anniversary conference!
EZRA GROSSMAN
Deputy Secretary General
Ezra is in his first year at McGill University studying Engineering. During his free time, Ezra enjoys playing and listening to music, participating in trivia competitions and playing every available quiz on Sporcle. This is his fifth year at JCYMUN but his second year as part of the Secretariat, and he is excited to make the upcoming conference the best ever!
SHAY SHIMANSKY
USG Committees
Shayana Shimansky is a second-year student at McGill University pursuing English Cultural Studies with a minor in Communications. She is a devoted pet owner to Ninja, her dog, and Bagel, her cat. This year marks her third year as a staff member, and fourth year at JCYMUN. In her free time, she likes to read poetry and watch "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
ALLAN HOFFMAN
Director of Operations
Allan is in his second year at Dawson College studying Law, Society and Justice. This will be his fourth year at JCYMUN and first year on the Secretariat. In his free time, Allan enjoys researching JCYMUN's past and working on community relations. Allan is very excited for all of the delegates to join us for our 25th anniversary.
JACOB SAMSON
Crisis Director
Jacob is in his third year of engineering at Queens University. This is his third year at JCYMUN, having been a delegate of the CRISIS committee in 2020, and a CRISIS committee chair in 2023. In his free time, Jacob enjoys reading and listening to music; he also always enjoys watching a great movie. Jacob is so excited to be JCYMUN’s CRISIS Director for 2024!
NATHANIEL OUAZANA
Advisory Board Member
Nathaniel Ouazana is in his first year doing a masters in Occupational Therapy at McGill University. He has been a part of JCYMUN for many years, both as crisis staff as well as crisis director in past conferences. This will be Nathaniel’s second year as part of the secretariat team and he cannot wait for you all to see the amazing conference that is planned!
A graduate of John Abbott College and the University of Ottawa, Rick has currently graduated from his Master of Law at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. A part of JCYMUN for the past 5 years as both a Secretariat member and committee chair, 2025 marks Rick’s sixth (and hopefully not final) year with JCYMUN. When he is not exploring his new home or debating constitutional theory, Rick enjoys travelling, and has already booked his tickets to see everyone in-person in Montréal from March 2-4!
