African Union
The African Union, or AU, is a continental organization that promotes cooperation and integration among African nations. It was established in 2001, succeeding the Organization of African Unity (OAU). The AU works to advance economic development, ensure peace and security, and uphold human rights across the continent. It provides a platform for member states to coordinate policies, address regional challenges, and foster unity and solidarity among African nations.
