Food and Agriculture Organization

The Food and Agriculture Organization, or FAO, is a specialized agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to combat hunger and improve food security. Founded in 1945, the FAO works to ensure sustainable agricultural practices, enhance rural development, and eliminate hunger and malnutrition. It provides data, policy guidance, and technical expertise to help nations develop and implement strategies for achieving food security, managing natural resources, and adapting to climate change.
